Bourscheid

The commune of Bourscheid offers a wide number of viewpoints. Signposted walks link the various villages in the commune, some of which are located on hilltops and others on the banks of rivers and streams flowing through picturesque valleys.

Bourscheid, Kehmen, Scheidel, Schlindermanderscheid and Lipperscheid are situated on an open plateau. Michelau, Goebelsmühle and  Bourscheid-Moulin/Plage are located on the river Sûre, whilst Welscheid is situated by the Wark stream.

The pluses of this tranquil community in the Luxembourg Ardennes are the 56% forested and typically Ardennes landscape, nature practically untouched and the ruins of the feudal castle at its heart, standing on a rocky outcrop 150 metres above the River Sûre.

Historic churches at Bourscheid (1765), Michelau (1792), Schlindermanderscheid (1751) and Welscheid (1874).

Viewpoints: "Napoléonsbeemchen" and "Knallhaff" at Bourscheid, "Gringlay" at Lipperscheid.
