Inspiring road trips through Luxembourg Grand Tour du Luxembourg

the 'Grand Tour of Luxembourg'

An inspirational road trip

A small country with a huge amount of diversity! Spanning an area of just 2,600 square kilometres, the Grand Duchy boasts a delightful capital, five distinct regions with diverse landscapes, a rich cultural scene, plenty of history, and a paradise for food enthusiasts. The 'Grand Tour of Luxembourg' was created to allow visitors to experience this variety during their stay by touring the country with their own vehicle.

Whether in a vintage car, an electric vehicle, or on a motorbike: this 450-kilometre circular route brings together the most beautiful panoramic drives in Luxembourg. As the 'Grand Tour' is very well signposted, you can relax and follow the signs by yourself on your journey of discovery.

To get to know the individual regions even better, six regional routes have also been created. These are not signposted, but guests have access to free maps as well as complimentary GPX files to help them navigate independently and with peace of mind. Travelling made easy and inspiring.

Along with their own vehicle, visitors just need curiosity and enough time to enjoy every curve, hill and place of interest. The ultimate freedom on four wheels. Your windows are down, you can feel the wind in your hair and you're cruising along gently winding roads – what more could you need for an unforgettable road trip?

The regional routes

The Guttland Centre Tour and the Guttland West Tour take you through tranquil Guttland. This region in the heart of Luxembourg is characterised by hills, valleys and dense forests, not to mention stone witnesses of bygone eras, from antiquity to the present day, with numerous excavation sites to explore.

The Éislek Tour takes you through sprawling landscapes and dense forests. This northern region is known for its hilly roads, castles, museums and numerous places of remembrance.

On the Mullerthal Tour, the deep rocky gorges with layered sandstone make the drive simply unforgettable. Lush forests and gently winding roads through 'Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland' round off the experience.

Embark on a journey of discovery on the Moselle Tour in the heart of Luxembourg's wine region, and enjoy a ride along the meandering river, through vineyards that change with the seasons and small picturesque towns.

The Minett Tour through the former industrial heart of Luxembourg (the Minett region) offers a balancing act between nature, steel and culture. Drive through the Land of the Red Rocks and make the most of this diversity.
