Festivals & Events

Festivals, culture and sports events

What attracts people to Luxembourg year after year? And what do the locals also look forward to? A whole range of events and festivals that are permanently marked on people’s calendars.

In summer, it’s not only children who look forward to the Schueberfouer funfair to come around again. Many other village fairs and traditional fairs with local and regional delights and loads of fun for the whole family are also held throughout the year. Many music festivals across Luxembourg – like the summer time Blues’n’Jazz Rallye – set the mood for having a great time. Events such as the Museum Night in October bring art, science and history alive. There’s plenty for sports fans, too – like the ING Night Marathon for an athletic tour through the streets of the capital city, and numerous cycle races or trail runs.

The annual highlights

They say the best things always come to those who wait – and, in Luxembourg, you never have to wait very long to enjoy one of the country’s favourite annual events.
