Éislek is full of steep valleys, plateaus with breathtaking views and lush forests. There are also world-class hiking trails with the ‘Best of Europe - Leading Quality Trail’ label: such as the cross-border Escapardenne Eislek Trail or the Lee Trail with its breathtaking rocks. The most ambitious outdoor enthusiasts will find other certified quality trails with many points of interest.
Whether on foot or by mountain bike, there is always time to stop and admire stunning landscapes as far as the eye can see. Or to cool off in the Upper Sûre lake in the summer.
Éislek also has its castles and forts: Vianden, for example, stands majestically above the town. A panoramic access by chairlift, followed by a guided tour of its buildings will take you back to the Middle Ages.
The castle in Clervaux houses one of the most fascinating photo exhibitions, ‘The Family of Man’. This collection by Luxembourg-American Edward Steichen is included in the UNESCO Memory of the World register.
