CHINESE MAN

..

Collective from the south of France, the Chinese Man trio, composed of High Ku, Matteo & Sly, have been performing independently since their debut within their label Chinese Man Records. Formed in 2004, they draw their influences primarily from hip-hop, trip-hop, but also from dub, electro and reggae. With only 2 albums to their credit (Racing with the Sun, in 2011 & Shikantaza, in 2017) but numerous other collective projects (EPs, Remixes, Live, The Groove Sessions...) or solo (BOLD, Matteo, Rumble), the band has been touring venues and festivals in France and around the world since 2009. The Paris Zenith in 2014 celebrated the group's 10th anniversary, and "The Groove Sessions Live" tour, alongside Baja Frequencia and Scratch Bandits Crew, commemorated their 15th anniversary. The Chinese Man experience can be discovered on vinyl and extended live... Seeing and experiencing Chinese Man live is always a unique and captivating experience, inviting spectators to let go. With more than 600 shows around the globe, the band is back in 2024 for their 3rd album in an even more immersive and explosive live setting!
