CONCERT - Träume
Liederabend
Dreams are invisible, and yet hardly anything can be depicted as vividly in art or music as a dream. Dreams are mysterious, magical, and real, because every human being dreams, at night or during the day. Every mood or emotion can be reflected in our dreams.
Gerlinde Sämann and Claude Weber have delved into this fascinating world and created a program that is dreamy in the truest sense of the word, which will lead the audience to their own dreams.
Each text and Lied of this recital explore the different dimensions of dreaming in its own way, offering a fascinating glimpse into the complexity of the human experience during sleep. From the calmness of nightfall and the peace it can bring, to the manifold journeys of our souls during our dreams and to the visions of our waking dreams.
Music by Franz Schubert, Clara Schumann, Richard Wagner (Wesendonck Lieder), Johannes Brahms, Richard Strauss (Im Abendrot), Amy Beach, Sergei Rachmaninov (Vocalise), Rebecca Clarke, Roger Quilter, Helen Buchholtz, Ina Boyle, Alma Mahler, Poldowski, Lou Koster et Tatsiana Zelianko.
With Gerlinde Sämann (soprano) and Claude Weber (piano).
