Course description
The bachata dance originated in the Dominican Republic and is easy to learn, fun and romantic.
Traditional bachata is popular and very cheerful, practiced by friends, family and lovers, it's a dance of sharing and reunion.
Modern bachata is sophisticated, romantic and sensual.
The style you interpret will convey the dance of passion par excellence, or fun: it all depends on the character you wish to give it, and your musical ear.
The character of the dance is achieved by a body and hip movement that retains a similarity to certain African and Caribbean dances.
The expansion of tourism in the Dominican Republic has given bachata international popularity.
A regular feature at Latin parties, bachata is a must.

Dominican Bachata ;
Modern Bachata ;
Pasitos.
