Bill Frisell's career as a guitarist and composer spans more than 40 years with acclaimed recordings described by Downbeat as "the best recordings of the decade". Recently, he has successfully collaborated with the Blue Note label, releasing HARMONY, Valentine and FOUR. The New York Times highlights Frisell's ability to combine high concepts with a humble approach, calling him one of the most distinctive improvisational guitarists of our time. In 2012, Frisell was honored as the first Doris Duke Artist and has also received fellowships from United States Artists and Meet the Composer. In 2016, he was awarded the FreshGrass Composition commission. In 2013, he served as Resident Artistic Director at San Francisco Jazz. Frisell is the subject of a documentary film by Emma Franz, "Bill Frisell: A Portrait," as well as a comprehensive biography by Philip Watson, "Beautiful Dreamer: The Guitarist Who Changed The Sound of American Music."

The Veda Bartringer Quartet project was created in 2021 and is the result of musician Veda Bartringer's personal quest. During her jazz studies at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, she constantly collected various ideas. In 2021, she finally decided to finalize them and create a complete composition from them. By studying different instruments - classical and jazz guitar, lyrical singing and piano - she tries to bring her different points of view into her pieces and play with these different aspects. Through her studies and teachers at the conservatory, she got to know and deepened her knowledge of different worlds besides jazz, such as fusion, funk and Indian music. The idea behind his compositions is to create new soundscapes based on modern jazz, but also incorporating classical music, jazz fusion and Indian music. Veda offers a decidedly contemporary jazz, characterized by a strong feminine sensibility that is still too little represented in this style of music. Musicians Julien Cuvelier, Boris Schmidt and Maxime Magotteaux have joined her on this sonic journey, helping to explore and enter more deeply into these different worlds. In September 2022, the quartet released their first EP called The Butterfly Effect.

After Club Session: Bodies
Bodies merges the sounds of modern jazz and improvisations with different danceable grooves like drum'n'bass, reggaeton or techno, using different effects to create an ambiguous yet groovy soundscape. Through their music, this group emphasizes the importance of enjoyment and pleasure. The acoustic space created during their concerts leads the collective imagination towards a utopian world in which vulnerability is the key to progress and where corporeality loses of its importance.
Born in January 2022 around the musical universe of the Spanish-Belgian saxophonist and composer Alejandra Borzyk, Bodies brings together exceptional musicians from the international jazz scene in Brussels. Since their first concert in April 2022, the band has progressed voraciously within the Brussels contemporary scene and is part of the city's musical avant-garde.
