In addition to its national reputation, the orchestra of the Garde Républicaine (80 musicians) has also enjoyed great success internationally. Conducted since 1997 by colonel François Boulanger and his deputy colonel Sébastien Billard, the orchestra of the Garde Républicaine is able to perform the entire classical musical repertoire from the 17th century to the present day.

The orchestra welcomes guest conductors such as: Hervé Niquet, Lucie Leguay, Kanako Abe, Léo Warynski... and accompanies renowned soloists: Ibrahim Maalouf, Jodoe Devos, Karine Deshayes, Renaud Capuçon, Barbara Hendricks...
