Fondry, an improvisational pop/post-punk/jazz band, emerged from the collaboration of Diego Leyder (BRNS, Dièze, Namdose), Nicholas Yates (Thomas Champagne Trio, Samir Barris, One Horse Land), and Romain Benard (Ropoporose, Primevère, Paradoxant, Milk TV, Namdose). Driven by a shared desire to create music rooted in the present moment, the project draws aesthetic inspiration from bands like Dirty Three, Gang of Four, Television, and the Chicago Underground Quartet.
Exploring diverse musical avenues and languages, the trio's performances are a product of their libertarian approach to instrumental interplay. Complementarity, energy, and spontaneity are the hallmarks of the improvised and uninhibited sessions that they craft.
