National Museum of Archaeology, History and Art
The National Museum of Archaeology, History and Art contains some unexpected treasures such as a mosaic from the Roman villa at Vichten dating back to 240 AD, or beautiful Art Deco items from the porcelain manufacturer Villeroy & Boch or the collection of medals. The museum, which covers a total area of 6200m2, is situated in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Old Town, between the Grand Ducal Palace and the Bock casemates, and brings Luxembourg’s history to life with a series of themed tours. For example, very appropriately, the museum’s archaeological collections can be admired in rooms carved into the rock face. The contemporary art rooms house works by the world-famous photographer Edward Steichen. The permanent exhibitions are free of charge.
Discover the MNAHA through a series of immersive and interactive 3D tours.
