Visitor centre Mirador

The Mirador visitor centre is located on the old “Al Schmelz” industrial site in Steinfort. The visitor centre building was formerly part of the blast furnace plant, and was used as a platform for the loading crane. Today, the visitor centre is the access point to the “Schwaarzenhaff” protected zone, and provides a great deal of information about the local flora, fauna, and heritage. The centre also houses the offices of the local Forest Ranger.
