Description
Are you interested in stories, legends, castles and their secrets? Then you are perfectly in the right place in the west of Guttland. Embark on a journey through time, from the Middle Ages to the Romans, and drive through picturesque villages and varied landscapes.
Your journey begins in Mersch, in the centre of the country, and then takes you straight through the enchanting Valley of the Seven Castles. The baroque castle gardens of Ansemburg are a highlight at any time of year. Between Goeblingen and Nospelt, another stop is worthwhile to discover the remains of a Roman villa in the forest. In Kahler, street art works impress along the route and in Steinfort you are spoilt for choice if you want to make a gastronomic stop. In Useldingen, you can climb high up to the stately castle and enjoy the view from a breathtaking height. The circular tour also takes you through the smallest village in the country, Rindschleiden.
The route partly follows the route of the “Grand Tour du Luxembourg”. You can follow the signs for the national route. However, there are no signs on the part of the route that closes the loop. This signage is also only supportive and only indicates when the route changes direction.
