M1 The Castle Tour
From the youth hostel of Beaufort, you first ride downhill towards the valley of the Black Ernz and then take a challenging climb until the village of Berdorf. After a flat section along the river Sûre, you will reach the remarkable abbey town of Echternach. You will ride on a long slope on a former railway line leading through the lighted tunnel of Bech. Through open pastures, the tour continues through the villages of Graulinster, Reuland and Heffingen. From there, you ride along the White Ernz until Larochette, where you can take a rest and visit the castle ruins. You continue along the river and pass the villages of Reisdorf and Dillingen over a last steep climb and get back to your starting point.
