Description
At the beginning of this section, you will experience one of the highlights of the Minett Trail: the Belval neighbourhood. It figures among Europe’s largest urban development projects on a former industrial site. Here, former icons of the industrial past such as blast furnaces mingle with residential newbuilds and a business district. Visit the former blast furnace facility in Belval and go up to the top: the views are stunning!
Follow the path in the direction of Rue de l’Alzette. Luxembourg’s longest shopping street also houses the Escher Infofabrik, where you can enquire about nearby tourist attractions, walking and cycling tours, as well as cultural events.
The section between the Belval district and the train station in Esch-sur-Alzette is also completely barrier-free and can be recommended as an alternative route for people with reduced mobility.

Directions
This stage starts at either the Belvaux-Rédange train station or the train station of Esch-sur-Alzette. Follow the official signposting: The signs show three red arrows on a white background. They are signposted "on sight" and may be affixed to streetlights or other posts.
While in nature, you can find them on trees and posts. At important junctions you will also find signposts with arrows indicating the direction and information about the distance to specific points, as well as pictograms of points of interest.
