Une danse faite d’élans, de surprises, de questions, de trésors, de désarrois, de vapeur, d’entrailles et d’horizons, une rencontre émotionnelle. Aujourd'hui, Alfonso revient à la recherche de ce qui est étranger et trouve en Paula Comitre un nouveau corps complice avec lequel franchir ses astérisques dans ce jeu de spectres.
Lui, un des grands représentants actuels de l’école madrilène de danse flamenco, articulant un langage qui mêle les concepts de la danse traditionnelle et les nouveaux codes de danse de notre époque, elle, de Séville, représente l’avenir du flamenco. Une pièce tel un pont nécessaire entre un maître et la nouvelle génération.
EN A new alter ego emerges when two flamenco virtuosos collide on stage, casting aside convention to reach into intimate connections. Originally choreographed and performed by Patricia Guerrero and Alfonso Losa through a long process of exploration, Losa introduces new dance partner Paula Comitre to chart unfamiliar territories. Comitre, emerging star from Sevilla, deconstructs and reconstructs her movements, while Losa innovates within tradition, honouring his Madrid School roots. Alter Ego is a raw rendition of flamenco, embodying pure passion, instinctive movement, and unfettered discoveries. Comitre and Losa’s collaboration reflects a unique bond, pushing boundaries while maintaining the essence of flamenco. A mesmerising exploration of vulnerability, trust, and the transformative power of shared creativity. Alter Ego was awarded the Public Prize at the 2024 Festival de Jerez in 2024.
DE Mit Alfonso Losa und Paula Comitre stehen zwei TänzerInnen und ChoreografInnen auf der Bühne des Grand Théâtre, die zum Besten gehören, was der Flamenco aktuell zu bieten hat. Losa hat sich als führender Vertreter der Madrider Schule etabliert und gilt vielen als Brücke zwischen den „alten Meistern“ und der neuen Generation. Zu dieser gehört Comitre, die bereits mit wichtigen Nachwuchspreisen ausgezeichnet wurde. In Alter Ego übernimmt sie den Part von Patricia Guerrero, die dieses Duo ursprünglich mit Losa entwickelt und getanzt hat. Die preisgekrönte Choreografie zeigt ein gemeinsames Wagnis mit offenem Ende, einen Tanz, der aus Impulsen, Überraschungen, Fragen und Verwirrungen besteht. Alter Ego spielt mit Gespenstern, mit zwei Körpern, die sich gegenseitig anleiten und an der Grenze ihrer Möglichkeiten tanzen.
