The comfort hiking trail Echternach Lake is a family-friendly circular hiking trail around the lake in Echternach and offers numerous playgrounds along the way as well as water activities.
The comfort hiking trail Echternach Lake is a great opportunity to explore the nature of the region. The lake, surrounded by forest, invites you to take a relaxing walk close to the lakefront.
For families with children, the playgrounds along the trail offer plenty of opportunities for adventure and fun. A wheelchair swing is also available. The refreshment stops along the route provide welcome breaks.
On warm days, the bathing area by the lake invites you to cool off. You can also hire a pedalo or stand-up paddle board there.

Directions
The starting point of the trail is next to the trampoline park. From the youth hostel car park, walk in the direction of the lake.
From there, the path can be followed in both ways.
Starting to the left, you can turn off to the bathing area. There is also an accessible toilet there.
Continue along the path to reach a barrier-free fishing area. There are barbecue facilities next to the path. If you follow the signage, you will also pass a footbridge that allows you to get closer to the water.
Continue along a small group of islands. It is possible to explore this via a non-accessible alternative.
The path continues to small playgrounds and a refreshment stop.
The route now leads to the Roman villa and a playground with low-barrier playground equipment. There is also an accessible toilet there.
If you continue along the path, you will soon return to the starting point.
Equipment
No special equipment required. The path is generally easy to walk on and is stroller- and wheelchair-friendly. It is sufficiently wide and has a gradient of more than 6% in just a few places (max. gradient 14% for less than 100 metres). This means that this trail is suitable for families, older guests or people with limited mobility.
