PC 21 Kautenbach - Wilwerwiltz
The route follows the valley floor at the foot of the ruins of Schüttburg Fortress and leads to the picturesque village of Lellingen, whose farmhouses with white limewashed façades are so typical for the Ardennes.
Directions
The cycle path starts from its lowest point at Kautenbach, where the cycle paths PC16 and PC22 also start. Once completed, PC21 will follow the "Clerve" stream northwards to Wilwerwiltz. Currently, the start of the cycle path is about 1.6 km outside of Kautenbach following the CR322 towards Consthum (a 60 m gradient climb). In a left-hand bend, the path descends on its own bed into the "Clerve" valley. Before reaching the foot of Schüttbuerg, the cycle path crosses two small streams called "Krodebaach" and "Kräpbaach", which flow into the "Clerve" at this point.
After Schüttbuerg, the cycle path crosses the "Clerve" at Schüttbuergermillen and follows the meanders of the stream to Lellingen. At the highest point, at a place called "Ierwelt", the path turns right and descends again towards the "Clerve". Following the path westwards, it is possible to reach the locality of Alscheid.
At Lellingen, the cycle path joins CR323 which it follows towards Wilwerwiltz. On the ascent, the path leaves the road and descends towards Wilwerwiltz on its own bed. In the heart of the village of Lellingen, PC22 "PC de l’Oesling" towards Wahlhausen connects directly to PC21.
The completed section of the cycle path ends at Wilwerwiltz. To go to Clervaux, an excellent tourist destination in the Oesling region, follow CR326 towards Enscherange and then continue via Drauffelt and Mecher, always following the "Clerve".
