Menhir

Menhir

One of the oldest monuments of Luxembourg can be found on the ''Béisenerbierg''. The menhir, buried for centuries in the ground of a meadow, was discovered in 1978 and erected 30 metres away from its original location. The 3 metres high sandstone, weighing around 4 tons, owes its brown yellow colour to its high iron content.
