Vianden

Where? 1A, Rue du Vieux Marché, L-9414 Vianden

Feel welcome to Vianden, a charming little town located in the Éislek.

Situated on the banks of the Our River, the city of Vianden looks back on more than a hundred years of tourist tradition. Narrow streets, a preserved city wall and a restored 11th century castle add a medieval flair to the city.

A ride on Luxembourg's only chairlift offers magnificent panoramic views of the city and its castle.

For history enthusiasts as well as nature lovers, there is plenty to discover, as for example the Victor Hugo House, the City Museum and on the many adjacent hiking trails.

The nut market ("Nëssmoort") in October where numerous products from the harvest of the nut trees are sold is an annual highlight.
